Cant tag a slab from underneath

I have made a slab tag very simple, used a generic tag family and categorised it to slab and chose structural thickness.
My slabs are only structural no multilayer.
My structural views are done from underneath showing elements impacting overhead in hidden line.
It is a structural plan view with the direction changed to upwards instead of looking downwards.
I can not place my tag on the slab in the view....if I go to an architectural style plan view I can place the tag from "above" the slab, but when I am looking from below can not place the tag.....

Anyone have a workaround for this? I want it to be a smart tag, not just a symbol that I can modify the text in.

is your view hidden line or wireframe? does your view range include the slab(s)?

hidden, and yes slabs are included

    And actually its resolved itself
When I loaded the tag in it wasnt letting me place it, I made some modifications to the contents, included the elevations at top/bottom in the tag and now it works, go figure...
