    "ghost"

    Hello, I'm new here.

Does anyone know how to use a "GHOST". I use to use them all the time (Type Mark), but can no longer find anything.

    Thanks!

I think you may need to provide some more information. The Revit term "GHOST" is not familiar.

I'm not so use to the Revit terms... But I have used them (Ghosts) before on two different projects. It's a symbol that is shaped like a stop sign with a cross in the middle that I used to tag and schedule things like bollards etc... When I couldn't tag a door in a storefront, I added a Ghost to the door and then tagged that which was linked to the door schedule...

Just create an annotation symbol with an instance label. We call them Dummy Tags...as there is no intelligence in them. But you can always create an actual wall tag for your storefront windows and they would be intelligent.

Do these Dummy Tags appear as a hexagon with a cross in it? I don't understand you.

They can appear as any shape you decide to make them. The hexagon with a cross in it just happens to be what someone chose to make, at your old firm. It is still just an Annotation Symbol (Generic Annotation), according to Revit. You have to make the shape.
