    drop-down categories for view templates

Is it possible to create new drop-down categories for view template types based on shared parameters or some other info. Currently we only have floor plans reflected ceiling plans elevations sections 3D. I want to add a couple more for each discipline

The structure of the View Templates list is hardwired. We can only cope by careful naming.

    Okay...put another way...no.

You have noticed there are two filters to restrict view types and discipline however?

I just checked this morning, these discipline filters only isolate view templates based on the OOTB disciplines which seem to be set in terms of how they display the model. It would be good if it would filter based on the OOTB sub discipline view categories which don't affect visibility settings.

I wonder if those OOTB discipline visibility settings can be modified so that I could use them as mechanical sub disciplines. I use coordination for sleeving but I never use architectural, structural, and electrical, so I could then use them as piping, plumbing etc, leaving mechanical for duct.
