Complex roof shows different thickness when having different a slope

    Hello,

I'm asking this question for a collegue since I'm also interested in the answer.

We have quite a complex roof (cultural heritage rebuild/renovation) and the thickness of the insulation is 230. Yet in every section we have through this roof, it shows a different thickness whenever it has a different slope.

Is this normal? A bug? Or does anyone know how to fix this?

I already used mister google but I don't seem to find anybody with the same problem. Is it just a Revit thing we have to live with?

For the portion of the roof that is modeled by editing sub elements (points), Revit cannot keep the thickness consistent (there is a warning about that somewhere). Revit should keep the thickness consistent for typical gable roofs, though. For modeling tapered insulation, you should set the insulation layer as variable. Did you model the gable by modifying points or by footprint with slopes?

It was indeed modeled by editing sub elements so that would explain why it's not showing correct. Good to know for a future project.
It's a killing deadline for this project so my collegue is correcting it on the official sections by using 2D elements.

    Thanks for your answer!
