Possible to copy "View Types" from linked model

We're working with a few models and a recently updated Revit Template. I'm using Project Transfer to copy various categories from the new template to the models I'm working on but it seems it's not possible to copy "View Types" between the project (eg below). I have view templates assigned to the view types which would be quite time consuming to setup again.

Does anyone now a workaround using Dynamo or other plugins?

would "Insert view from file" work for you? do you have a base level or datum level in common between the files?

Draw a callout of your specific view type. Copy/ paste that into your new project. Using Revit lookup you can find the ID of of both view type and template, select both by ID and copy /paste those over.

Thanks, that seems to do the job!

I had read about Revit Lookup, they can be difficult here about installing software so the manual method of creating callouts to copy works better. It won't be a problem on project starting with the updated template.

    ---EDIT---

This method brings in the view but not associated type

Then you're doing something wrong as it works for me 100% of the time.

Thinking about it now, I think maybe do not apply view template is assigned to the view type. Not at my computer right now but this is probably why.
