    Weird dimension changing

    Hello all

I have create the walls in my model in specific dimensions from the interior to interior. Sometimes in Revit when I move a wall which normally souldn't affect the dimension between two others walls, the dimension changed.

Well I don't know how to describe it better.

Does happen something similar to you?

Dimensions in Revit are between two specific elements.
Moving other elements (not the two the dimension references) shouldn't affect them.
UNLESS you have somehow locked a relationship between elements.
In general, its a bad idea to lock anything (Dimensions or Alignments) in a project.
MAYBE you can lock dimensions between Grids or something simple like the distance from a Door to a corner, but you'll soon find that locking things in a project starts causing problems like you're seeing.

Yes, The truth is that I have locked some walls using the align tool..

Is there any way to unlock them? I cannot find an icon or something.

    Thank you!

The quick workaround is to copy the wall and delete the original.

Quick, perhaps, but deleting things can have even more repercussions than locking.
Copy to Clipboard might work, but you'd still have to recreate EVERY dimension involving that Wall (and EVERYTHING Hosted by it) in EVERY View.

Better to use the "Reveal Constraints" tool to find out what's really locked

If youve aligned and locked a wall to another reference, when you select the wall there IS a padlock visible. Its just faint, and a terrible color, so you can barely see if unless you go hunting for it.
