    Wall multi-layer representation

    Hello all,

In my project I want to create some walls that will have 3layers: Beton/Isolation/sandwich pannel (See the attachment below).

When this wall is cutted (floor plans/sections) I want to have:
    • green colour for the beton
    • Bleu for isolation
    • grey for the panel

I thought about the filters, but I cannot find a 'Filter by' category for each layer that itr will give me the result that I need.

The other thought is to the cut pattern of each material.

Is someone that can tell me the correct workflow?

    Thank you in advance!

Filter would be the obvious better choice, but you can't use them that way.

Set the colour in the cut pattern of each material.

Thank you for your answer.. is there any way in this structure to use the filters?

Filters only work on categories... so it's the whole wall or nothing. You can't dig down into the layers of the wall using filters.

Ok I chanced the colour in cut pattern.

Is there any way to control also the thickness of the line for each layer?
    For example beton:0.30
    Isolation 0.25

    Thank you!

You can adjust the sub category in the walls category called common edges - but that's for every edge in an assembly. I don't believe there is a way to pick an edge an assign a specific line weight to it. That would make a lot of people pretty happy.
