Filter Rules for Removing Sections Not on Current Sheet

Is there a way to filter sections not on the current sheet. I always have issues removing sections from adjacent floors. It would be nice if I could have the following filter rule:

    Sheet Number
    does not equal
    "current sheet"

Can Revit have non specific stuff in the last field? This way it would work well with a template.

You could either create a Section Type or add a view parameter to filter with, or Hide at scale coarser than, or play with different filter definitions (ends with, for example)...

Sections will show on whatever levels the section is cutting. So if you don't want a section to show on a floor then adjust the crop region so it doesn't go through that level.

Sections look bad when you don't have context of the floor and structure above.

Then get ready to do some manual hiding, or adding in some manual parameters, to tell the Filter what level you want it to be visible in.

The *Section* doesnt live in the Sheet. It lives in the model, and may extend to a variety of plans, based on levels, view ranges, plan regions, and so on. So the section wont REALLY be able to tell what sheet you are looking at.

I havent tried to see if you can ASK a section what view it shows up in, and what sheet the view is on, in Dynamo. But even if you can, i wouldnt trust it, since sections can show in many many views. Id just assume manually do it. Or, you know, come up with a different system.

I've dealt with this same issue and I ended up creating a new Section Type for each floor, for example

    Building Sections: First Floor
    Building Sections: Second Floor

then I used Rule-Based filters within my view templates to choose which sections I want to be visible. This means you'll probably need more view templates than you would have normally..I have found that it's easy to stay on top of.
