Revit 2016 export IFC open in Revit 2015?

My Arch model is in 2016 but I would like to share it with a tech consultant that only has 2015. Could I export an IFC and have them link it in 2015?

    Any other suggestions?

You likely can, but it won't be a smooth process. I did that once with a structural model ... only a small portion of the beams maintained their start & end elevations. There were triangulated forms all over the place ... it was a mess. I could fix it, but having to fix it every time we got an updated structural model was not sustainable.
