    Funny Guardrail

    I'm building a simple guardrail.

It needs a bottom rail running at the floor level.

When I set the bottom member to the 0" elevation, it interrupts the posts, and I need the posts to run to the 0" elevation. Is that normal, what's that?

If the bottom member is placed a fraction above the 0" elevation, the posts are not interrupted. That's a crude fix, is there a better way?

You can add a negative offset into your balusters to get them down to the correct elevation.

    Thanks for the suggestion:

So I did that, set the baluster to -4" offset, and the base ends up 4" below the bottom rail, which is 4" below the base of the rail system. Am I missing something?

Sorry - I didn't realize it did that when I tested it

I'm out of ideas other than using 2 railings.

Thanks for looking. So I'll just hack it somehow, and move on.

Seems like a very odd behavior, I wonder what for/why that?
