Sections Referencing Another View Not Visible

I'm stumped. I'm trying to place a section and have it reference another view but if I select reference other view the section marker is not visible. If I place a normal section everything shows up correctly. I've gone through the Can't See It in the View post and either everything is correct per that post or I'm missing something stupid.

Both views are in the same phase & design option.
I've tried Visible at Scales Coarser Than with no luck.
Everything looks OK in the VT, including filters.
Nothing shows up if I turn on Hidden Elements

Think I saw this over at the Autodesk Forums too... What kind of plan is it? Version of Revit?

    2015

It is an elevation of a window and I need to reference the typical head detail.

I saw a post at the Autodesk Forums but the issue they had was related to a filter & changing the view type.

    edit:
Or I'm a moron and you can't reference a view with section that is of a different type... /sigh Is it Friday yet?

I was having this issue in Revit 2017.2. The solution for me was to turn off the annotation crop on the view I was trying to place the reference section into. Hope this is helpful to others!

Nothing to do with the section mark "do not show if scale less than" set in the plan view, etc. ?

I couldn't figure it out either so I ended up using an Elevation Tag and referincing the Section Detail and then drawing a line off the Elevation Tag.
