    Editing SP File in Excel

    Is there a trick to editing the SP file in Excel? I made a few changes and now Revit is saying that it isn't a valid file...

    New Workbook
    Open SP.txt
    Delimited -> Tab
    Make a change
    Save
    Revit says No

    edit: the error came from a number of additional tabs in the first few lines. removing them makes the file work. How can I avoid that in the first place?

    Do you drag it or use the Open function? I actually never tried dragging - it opened up just fine. If I use the Open function it looks at it as a delimited file. Hrm.

    Thanks.

    Luckily the Trim Trailing Spaces function in Notepad++ makes it easy to get rid of the extra tabs.
