Arch wall Connection with structural column

i have a arch wall connected with column but it doesn't cut as it will be built.please see attachment, so when i calculate quantities it takes the all wall instead of stooping at the edge of column. so what is the possible solution for that. Thanks

Is the column copy/monitored into your file? If so you should be able to use the cut tool to cut the wall.

I have not yet received structural design so i placed column approximately, coming to your point i tried to experiment with copy monitor but didn't secede as the materials are different of wall & column so it didn't cut, or may be i am not doing properly. can you guide me a bit further. Thanks

Is this a timber column? In the column family, create a void extrusion (initially a solid, then turn it into a void) same size as column, tie/lock its geometry to column’s W, D & H parameters, tick ‘cut with voids when loaded’ in properties and use cut geometry tool in the project to cut the wall.
