Do not count 'not placed' rooms

What I'm trying to do is create a schedule that tells me the amount of rooms that is required and the amount of rooms that is actually in the model.
I have also created most of the rooms types that are needed in the model already so that people can choose the one they need from the pull down menu. This all works great and I'm pretty happy with that, there is however one little thing that is weird.

If I have a room that is not placed in the project, I get a 'not placed' in my room schedule, as it should. BUT when I ask the schedule how many of the different rooms are in the model it tells me 1 for the not placed ones, which of course should be 0. Once I place a not placed room the count stays at 1.

I want the schedule to say,
    needed: 2, count: 0
    needed: 1, count: 1
    etc.

Working in 2014, but 2015 does the same thing

Any idea how to do that?

You can filter out the not placed by Level is "at or above" your lowest existing level. Revit sees "not placed" as a lower value than the lowest actual height.
You can also use Area to filter not placed spaces, but then redundant rooms also report no area.

Problem is when I filter out the not placed rooms they will not be in the schedule at all. I want them in the schedule with a value of 0 for count and a value of x for the number of them needed (manual parameter).
