structural model misplaced from architectural model in Revit Architectural 2014

I received three Revit files from a partner design team, File A (structural), File B (Architectural) and File C (MEP). If i open File A in Revit 2014 Architectural then link it to File B, then File C (all overlayed); the resulting model will have File A displaced while File B and file C are perfectly overlayed.

I changed the order in which i opened the files (start with B, then open A and C) and the same behavior happened, File A was displaced and Files B and C perfectly overlayed. please see attached image.

Trying to test if its a problem from the source files or if its a mistake i am doing in linking files, i exported the three files separately to NavisWorks, and opened them together, and the result was perfectly overlayed! same results i got when i exported the three files to IFC and opened in an IFC viewer!

I am so puzzled this doesnt make sense to me at all! anyone ever faced a similar problem?

are there grid lines in these drawings?

if there are use the levels and the grid lines to align the two models

Take a look at whether Shared Coordinates are established btwn the models. Highlight a Linked model, then look in Properties, see if it is set to Shared Site, or Internal.

I have seen this sort of issue before, and actually had the opposite problem you did. Model aligned perfectly in Revit, but when exported to NW were offset.
Had to change setting in Revit to "Internal" and then they aligned in NW.

Which option are you using to import them, Auto origin to origin? Similarly, which coordinate system are you exporting to Navis. Could be that shared coordinates are correct but the relative origin is wrong. Typically when consultants start a model by importing to centre rather than origin to origin, this results.

gents: wierd enough, the model i received from our BIM partners have no shared coordinates at all! and i have tried all options in linking the files (auto origin to origin etc...) nothing is working!

Is the survey base point coordinate set up? And what coordinate system are you sending to Navis? Are you just trying to line it up in Revit? If there isn't an obvious way to match up positions, ask the consultants to put reference planes at a known (agreed) point to match the models.
