Revit 2013: Service Pack 3 - install issue

Just installed 2013 Revit Design Suite Premium (Revit only) and running under Trial Version on my home Windows 8 machine.
I've downloaded the Service Pack 3 for my installed version and began to install the update. The update seemed to hang; the install was taking over 30 minutes to install and the progress bar seemed to stay at about 70%. I ended the task.
When trying to re-install the update, I received the following error:
"A problem prevented the Update Release from being installed. Contact your system administrator.
    Error Code: 1618"

What can I do to clear this up and get the update installed?

I had some issues with the "trial"....it never seemed to work correctly. When I installed a version from the USB and updates it worked just fine.....I'd uninstall everything and redownload....

    Did you disable the anti-virus?

Not what I wanted to hear.

I got the Revit installation from a USB. It's an hour drive to get my hands on it again (with another hour drive home.) Downloading from the internet seems to be a lengthy and often error-filled exercise at my house. Blah.

I was hoping there were just some files from the interrupted Service Pack install that I could delete and start over.

I did not do anything specific to "Run As Administrator." But since it's my personal laptop, and I'm the only user, I'm assuming everything I run on it is "As Administrator."

Yup. That was your post. I was able to find the correct SP3 install Monday night, however, each time I tried to download fresh and install, I was running into issues. Using Daniel's advice to turn off AV and just choosing your link (so I didn't have to find it, again, myself) it all finally worked out!
