    Ramp spot elevation

How to show spot elevation dimension on the ramp? its kinda impossible now, but maybe somebody know it? i know its "bended" and its impossible to show, but middle point will be decreasing constantly, and i need to show it. How?

What kind of view are you in? I know that it's not possible to randomly place SE's on a continuous surface in Section or Elevation View. Only possible in Plan View.

If you're in 2012, you might want to try to annotate in 3D. You can set this up using the Scope Box and Orient to View so that it looks like a section. Maybe then you can place these SE's (but I haven't tried it yet).

Then it shouldn't be a problem. Can you post (part of) the project?

Looks like the ramp is above the cut plane?

Ok, the only thing I can think of is one of these solutions:

    1. Create a section across the axis you want to annotate. Go to the section view, draw a refplane aligned to the top of the ramp and annotate the refplane.
    2. Similar as above, but after creating the alligned refplane create two more refplanes on each point you want to annotate: one vertical and one horizontal (so you get a crosshair). name the horizontal refplane. go to the plan view and place the attached family on the intersection point of all three refplanes. Select as placement workplane the named horizontal plane. Now you can annotate this. Watch out though: this is simply a very small 2d circle created as a Generic Model. You might have to zoom in to see them.

I'm guessing this problem has something to do with the curved surface of the ramp, so the only way to make it easier is to recreate the ramp.

First of all my curved ramp is because i have a turn, and its geometrically correct that the ramp will be curved. Second, i cant align ref plane to the ramp because its curved ;] and fail is everywhere because its curved.

I know, you'll have to do a manual alignment "on sight". All else fails I'm afraid...
