Curtain Wall with base offset of 2' - help please.

I am taking a Revit 2013 class and one of the assignments has me create a curtain wall with a base offset of 2' "inside" a basic wall exterior - brick on wood stud. I've gone through the book we are using as well as other tutorials on the web and cannot figure out how to do it.

    Can someone please help me?
    Thanks!
    Larissa

Do you have Properties Window open? If not, you should have it open at ALL TIMES...you would find out that your answer is right in front of you when you select the curtain wall.....(Take a look at the second parameter on the list )

Good Luck with the tutorials and Welcome too!

    Thank you for the welcome!

Yup! I have the properties window open (always). I've set the base offset at 2' but, I guess the real problem is that the curtain wall doesn't 'cut' through the brick wall. I've done 'cut' and that didn't help. :\

If you edit the Type Properties of the curtain wall family, check the box that says "Automatically Embed". That causes the wall to be treated more like storefront in that you place it inside of another wall. Does that help?
