Filled Region or Masking for tags?

Like the title says guy. In the past my tags were transparent. This time I want to make them solid white. Any pro or cons I need to consider?
    Thank you

You can create the tag families with a visibility parameter for the region and use that in combination with linework to be able to switch between solid and transparent in a project setting. Ours are all solid by default, I think it reads a lot better that way, especially in plan views where there are floor hatches that can sometimes make reading tags difficult. And now that I think about it I'm not sure why/when people wanted them to be transparent... but I remember they were adamant about having the option, so it's there.

    Neither
Just change the text from transparent to opaque - its in the text / label settings

OP i'm not entirely sure, I have a feeling we started favouring filled regions for one reason or another but I can't put my finger on it... Easier to change if one day people decide to colour the regions? Then again I might have it backwards. I imagine there's probably some of both knowing our library

It's never impacted us though, have a feeling the only difference is something to do with how they're exported but we print and export a lot and never seemed to have any issues. So all in all this is a pretty useless post sorry, I'm afraid I can't really provide much more insight though, maybe someone else can steer us one way or the other.

thank you, no worries. Just trying to see it there would be any downstream issue with using a filled or mask. I am looking at some analytics software and I wonder if it would count the making regions inside the tags. I like the masking since it seems to cover everything.

Masking region in window and door tags works well. Opaque for text didnt make a clean edge inside border of tags. Can place tags over decking now with no lines inside tags from decking.
