Haha, you just have to determine what you model at the start and where you spend your time.
If i model the window for 90 % the manufacturerer still has to model it for his automated CNC robot.
If i model it for 10 % the manufacturerer still has to model it for his automated CNC robot.

Only the second method saves me a lot of time and it doesn't cost the manufacturer any more time to make it.

And the curtain walls look good enough for us and the client.

I'm Dutch too and I have seen that workflow for the first time, it could of course be me. That being said I really don't like having to use content by 'other people' like in that video.

And Aaron about curves or arcs in windows, even though Marcel showed an example of one I can not remember making a window with a arc ever during my 19 or so years in architecture, unless it is a actual curtain wall. Don't think those are very common in Holland these days. I only done a few fake ones, but thats a while ago.

You don't have to use the LOD400 windows, but your can if you want.
Imo the LOD 200 curtain walls are good enough for the projects i do.

I have a set of Windows I use or indeed cutrain walls, but it depends on what stage of the project and what is asked of me.

Yeah. Different countries, I guess. I do arched, semi arched, varied side height arches, and such, all the time. And the segmented curtain wall wouldn't cut it, for me.

But it's awesome that it works for you guys and you are happy with it!
