    Families hosted on BIM360

has anyone had family-corruption issues when hosting and/or editing families on BIM360 via the desktop connector?

we have a large project with multiple organizations (in various geographical locations), where a few will be sharing architectural, engineering scopes. Those organizations will need to share and edit families within their respective Revit models. Hosting the families on BIM360 seems like the logical choice to avoid potential read/write corruption, although before we commit, we wanted to hear about any lessons-learned and/or similar workflows.

    thank you!

Haven't tried sharing families on BIM360 but I dont think I would either as families can just be stored within the project. I wouldn't want to increase the chance of things going wrong.
Why would you want another organisation editing your families anyway?

thanks elton for the reply, i'm just considering my options for the moment and for the long haul ahead. this project is going to last for a long time, > 5-7 years. in this project, the intent is that there will no 'other organization', but only 1, comprised of 2-3... i know, it's complicated.

While I think BIM 360 is a tremendous collaboration tool that serves as a unifier between the stakeholders in a project, I would argue that it operates poorly as a miscellaneous file repository.
