    Combine Multiple Shared Parameters?

Hi. The project which I am working in currently has a few different shared parameter files, one for titleblock, 1 for some Buildability Score calculation and some other misc ones in a diff txt file.
I saw Paul Aubin's tutorial about shared parameters, and he mentioned that we should only keep to 1 file for all the shared parameters...
Being new to this, I would like to check with all the experts here, what is the usual practice in your company?
Do you need to merge all these existing shared parameters into 1 common file? (??How to do it?)
Thanks for any replies or suggestions.

One file is easier to manage. You don't want multiple versions of the same parameter ending up in projects or families.

You can merge parameters from separate files by copying individual lines of parameters from one file into another (editing with Notepad for example) even though the instructions at the top of the file will tell you not to edit the file. The creation of a GUID is the underlying reason I believe since Revit generates those when we create the shared parameters. Since the parameters are already created just copy/paste works...as long as you don't happen to have GUID's that are the same somehow.

Thank you, I'll give it a try.

Those could be the name of groups of parameters in the shared parameters file. Titleblock, Buildability Score, Miscellaneous, ....
