    Blend with flat faces?

    Hi All,

I seem to remember there being a trick to this, but can't find it anywhere.

When you create a blend between 2 shapes (of the same number of points), how do you make the faces flat rather than 'curved' or 'twisted' ?

I tied playing with the vertices direction tool, but that just seems to create all manner of odd shapes...

Any info on this would be great!

    Thanks

You have to divide the profiles into a certain number of line segments for some shapes to blend well.

This was using very simple polygons of 6 sides - blending a large one into a smaller version, and the faces were still twisted.

The way I achieved the right shape eventually was to make an extrusion of 6 sides, then 'chisel' away the sides at an angle with voids.

I thought there was a way of doing this with the blend tool, but maybe not.

Please provide some images. A blend solid of two hexagons, one smaller than the other, if the are aligned, should not produce twisted faces. But you might be doing something different. That's why for questions like this one is good to post some pictures.
