    Joining nested countertops

    Hi there
I've created an "s" curved countertop where the curve is a nested sweep (to get the radii and angles to lock easily in a standard countertop family), but I can't join them to the extrusion within the main countertop family. I tried changing categories to generic model, but no luck. Any thoughts? Is it because a sweep (the curved counter) can't be joined to an extrusion?

    See attached (R19)

    TIA

You can't join or cut with nested families, reliably.

I see. Thanks. I'll stop struggling with it then. I was able to create the separate countertops in the same family after all, just a bit more of a hassle. But at least I'm not seeing those division lines now.
