    Splitting elements

Hello I am trying to adjust the dimensions of a tubular piece of metal, part of a piece of furniture, created with the sweep tool.
It is not attached to any reference planes and hence not truly parametric.
So I thought I would use split tool but this only seems to work for walls not a circular element extruded with the sweep tool. Why is that?

You need to select the sweep solid and edit the path. The split tool can break walls or lines (a path). But the path of a sweep must be continuous, though. Otherwise you get an error saying "More than one loop not allowed".
