Revit if formula gives message of inconsistent units

    Hi,

So i am trying to make a if formula of 2 parameters that result in 1 of 3 options of data.

In this case i try to give my door family a automatic firerating for use in IFC.

The door has three options, no fireproofing, 30 minutes of fireproofing or 60 minutes of fireproofing.

this results in 2 yes/no parameters:
    - brandwerendheid_30min
    - brandwerendheid_60min

with this i try to give the IFC parameter FireRating a formula to automatically apply o, 30 min or 60 min to the parameter.

For this i use the following formula which should work:
    - if(brandwerendheid_60min, 60 min, (if(brandwerendheid_30min, 30 min, 0)))

Sadly i always receive the message, inconsistent units.

if i simplify this formula to the following, i receive the same message:
    - if(brandwerendheid_60min, 60 min, 0)
    - if(brandwerendheid_60min, 60 min, 30 min)

I used the parameter brandwerendheid_60min also in a different formula, removing this formula didn't change anything.

If anybody can help pleas let me know.

The FireRating parameter have to be a Text parameter, and the text in the formula must på enclosed with quotes (") - See the attached screenshot.

    if(brandwerendheid_60min, "60 min", (if(brandwerendheid_30min, "30 min", "0")))

That did indeed work as intended.

    Many thanks for the reply!

So interesting to see that everybody is doing the same thing for the same families.
Looks like you are doing some interior doors with all the data in them (fun project !)

Done those as well a while ago (and again after I wanted more info, and again after I learned more stuff)

If you are interested to see one of mine send me a message (info@deurloobm.nl) and I'll email it to you, so we can compare notes.
