    Combining parameters

Not sure if my question relates but I am looking into generating a code from the revit properties
    Example a box :W=10, H= 20, D= 10, Keyword = U
Now I want to tell the revit to create the Code : 10U20 (what to write in formula section)from the properties provided in the section already - i can currently do this in schedule using the fields combining option but not sure if I can have it generate this information in properties section itself.

You cannot concatenate parameters with formula in Revit, however you could do this using Dynamo. Basically you need to have a new parameter in your family to host the combined parameter, then your dynamo script needs to select all the instances of that family, get the values of the 3 parameters (GetParameterValueByName), then use dynamo to combine the 3 parameters in the order you want and write the combined value to your new parameter (SetParameterValueByName). If you have a look on the DynamoBIM forums (www.dynamobim.org/forum) there should be some similar examples of each stage if you search.
