Hatch in Family not matching wall hatch

My walls are on course with a model hatch and I need to make an over riding stretchable family that looks like a wall to overwrite walls that are behaving like the double party wall in blue. The red wall type below is a detail family that appears to be lighter when used in plan. I want it to look like the red wall above. Is this possible?

Looks to me like you have the category of that family set to be halftoned, based on the outline.

Can you post the family, and a small sample with the walls and filter in it?

I would switch the family back to using the same pattern as the live walls. Too hard to figure it out otherwise. But on my screen they look the same, when they are placed, with the same hatch.

It would mean needing to turn the family sideways. I didnt bother doing it, since this family was built from a family template that had dimensions and reference planes in it, so i cant edit them without doing some workarounds.

Having said that, i would also turn the hatches to be oriented the other way, and construct the wall types so you dont have to draft over them at all.

I only have to draft over the demising walls that are 2 walls side by side because the hatch doesn't read well due to the hatch not lining up in both walls.

Yeah, i understand. If it were me id just model demise walls as a single partition, and not do the drafting at all. Just my two cents, tho. But wither way, the hatch isnt acting like that on my end, so i wonder if its something in your file...
