    Parametric glass

    Hi to all,
    Im new in this and if some can help me.
    i made new parametric window and i need insert parametric glass from manufacturer to my window but i get stuck, so if someone can help me I will appreciate it a lot.

    How to glass be a part of my window, in attach. are files window and glass,
    I mean to insert some how glass in my window and to be able change glass thickness and cavity thickness

    I think the best way to do what you are trying to do is Model your own glass it can be a separate RFA or not, but you need to be the one that model your own things otherwise you'll find so many issues.

    To give you a response to your question: Go to > New >Family, look for a Generic model family(?); once then you need to model your glass by using extrusions or whatever the method you prefer for this, use reference planes and so on to give control for your dimensions (thickness and so on), then you need to give it some parameters, Glass thickness will be a dimension one, Once your glass has a Thickness and Height, you need to give it a material parameter, once finished you can load your glass into your window family and once the you need to re map the glass parameters into your window family. without having more info I think is all I can say, hope this help
