    Non-reporting parameters

OK, I must not be seeing the forest for the trees so to speak. I took an existing furniture family and modified it. No the reporting parameters (LENTHG, WIDTH, HEIGHT, & SEAT HEIGHT) will not report to a schedule anymore. Any ideas? I cannot seem to attach the family to this post...getting error message. The furniture family, before I edited it, had "shared parameters" but mine disappeared. I tried to re-create them but when I check the "shared parameters" box, everything grays out. I am confused and am not sure where I made a wrong turn.

The file I started with used "shared parameters" and "type" (not instance)....so I kept on with that. Now I look at the file and if I check the "shared parameters" box, it grays out all of the other boxes and will not let me edit it.

So this is way late if you want to schedule parameters they need to be instance based

    No they don't.
You can schedule either Type or Instance parameters, but they must be Shared Parameters.

I'll bet the recreated parameters were Family Parameters.
Another thing people often don't understand is the just because a Parameter has the same name doesn't mean it IS the same Parameter.
Unless it was selected from the same Shared Parameter file, a new parameter WILL be different and will not schedule the same.

To add to Dave's post....LENGTH and Length are two different parameters too.
