Exclamation I can't cut a solid from a void form. Please help!!!!

Hi everyone. Here is my issue. First, I was working in conceptual mass environment, not in In-Place. I first chose a horizontal reference plane, then created a solid using the rectangle tool (model line not reference line). Then, as usual, I selected the rectangle and clicked on Create Form- Solid form. I got a solid, ok...so far so good. Then I selected another horizontal reference plane right above the first one. Next, I drew another rectangle above, but not aligned to the first rectangle (I overlapped them). I then selected this second rectangle but instead of clicking on Solid form, I click on Void form. So I got the void form. So now I had these 2 objects, one solid and one void, overlapping both horizontally and vertically. Now, automatically the void creates, well... a void in the solid. That's not where I have a problem. The trouble begins when I actually want to cut the solid using the void form. I go to the Cut command above, and as directed, I select first the solid and then the void. Well...it's doesn't cut it. How do I know that? Because after this operation, when I click on the still remaining void form and delete it, the solid form remains unaffected- totally uncut as it was in the beginning. What is happening here? Please help!!!

    Thanks a lot everyone.

Hi Cezary, maybe you must made the void touch the solid, otherwise the geometry don't works as one expected, you must: First: made the solid form, then select the face or segment in the solid you want to to use as reference plane, it depends, but I guess that way you can do it!!, best regards.
