Thread: Request rights to a object

Hey all

I have just installed a Revit server 2012 central and local server.

When I have 2 clients working on the same project, and one client requests a access to a object. it takes up to 2 minutes before the other client see the request.

But when the first client locks a object it happens instant.

Anyone here have an idea where to start troubleshooting?

Hi Mickiolin,
Run a tracert between both locations to your Revit Server IP. if you get any latency that is over 50ms along the route that could be a problem. High double digit ms is still workable but slightly annoying. Tripple digit latency will require evaluating your connection options.

If you can get both sites on the same carrier as the Revit server that will help a little. If you continue to have problems post here with results from your tracert. There are also other options than Revit Server which are able to over come latency issues.
