Thread: Kiwi 2013 Family Browser

I am trying to make a deployment with a collection for the Family Browser in Revit 2013 but I am having issues. Has anyone done this with 2013 yet?

Can you tell me what Issues you are having Grant? Do you have the very latest exe build released just last week?

I am using Version 2013.1.4.3 which looks to be the latest that I can download in your trial downloads.

I am having issues with the deployment part. I seem to be able to create the deployment fine, but when I go to install on other computers none of the settings take. (the license key, the right click settings, the collections)

Yes that is an outdated version. If you hop onto Revit Family Browser: Family Browser Home and go and download the Family Browser 2013 trial again you will get the latest version which will fix this.

BTW we are putting up our new website in two weeks which will make this so much easier for existing customers to get updated versions

I got this to work on one computer but on the second computer the only thing that seemed to take was the right click settings, the activation key and the collections did not come through.

Please confirm three things for me.

One:
That you put the Deployment folder that was created along with the EXE file on a centraly accessiable location. Meaning each and every computer could access both the EXE and the Deployment folder and that the EXE was in the same folder as the Deployment folder.

Two:
That everybody has read access to all the text files needed. This is important for the deployment to finish.

Three:
That you did not try to modify anything after you ran the Deployment out of Family Browser. This triped me up the first time I did a deployment. The text files that reside in the deployment folder are ment to be blank... go figure.

Do you have any idea how long it usually takes before I receive an activation code?

Within 24 hours or purchase. Normaly a lot less. Depends on when Phillip wakes up LOL
