    how to compute Formworks?

    Hi guys, just want to ask if some one knew about computing some beam formworks and slab formwork? are there any possible way of computing it? or any tips and recommendations? thank you in advance...

    I have put some formulas in Excel to calculate whaler spacing and shoring capcity.

    You can do that sort of thing accurately with ASD (Autocad Structural Detailing)

    But if you just need very preliminary estimates from Revit you could setup a schedule with calculated values to calculate surface areas. A Material takeoff would be worth looking into as well depending on the type of construction you are looking at and how you have modeled it

    What exactly are you trying to compute?
    Rates, Loads, Cost, Counts, Options?

    hi there,yup thats my option on doing it, if i cant make it in revit, ill do it manually, but if you say you put some excel to revit...hmmm can you teach me the way on how to do it? thanks..

    I really think this should be able to be done in Revit. I have done things as far as making Revit do structural analysis as my hand calculations before, so this should be able to be done using Revit. Taking excel to Revit takes an extension for Revit. The company that does this does .doc, .xls, and .pdfs to Revit.
