    Invisible room tags (Revit MEP)

I am using Revit MEP and trying to place room tags into a building that is a xref of Revit architecture. As I am about to place the tags, I noticed that it reads the original room names from the Revit Architecture file. But when I click to place the room tag an error pops up saying that the tag is not visible in the current view (which is a floor plan so it should). I tried ajdust my visibility/graphics, the view range, and my worksets are all set up as they should be. I tried utilizing the space naming utility but this was unsuccessful becuase the spaces would load but, again, there were no room tags. Does anyone know anywhere in the program where my views or visiblity might not be set up right, or know the sollution to this problem???

I'm not sure if your using the wrong nomenclature, but you should be using space tags not room tags.
    Keep in mind:
Your cut plane has to go through the space in order for the tag to be visible.
    Room bounding checked
    Space tags visible in VG

I am facing the same kind of problem. I linked architectural model in Revit MEP and my all settings are proper for visibilty/graphics for space and space tags. The issue is that when I am using Space Naming Utility or tagging space using Space Tag it's not detecting room names and number. Morover when I select the space, the room numbers and room names are not showing up even in properties which they supposed to be. I checked Architectural Model and I found that rooms are in another design option but that design option is set as primary option. I also tried to keep that design option as current design option in Revit Linked file from Visilility/Graphics, but it also didn't work. So any suggestion????

Rooms CAN exist in design options, spaces CANNOT exist in design options. What you can do is force your view to see that of a linked view to get your room names.

Design options are set on architectural model not MEP file. And all room annotation are on in MEP file as well as linked architectural model still it's not showing up.

I had a similar problem a couple of days ago. It took me hours to realize what I'd done wrong:
I was making insulated rooms and labeling them with my newly made, hot, shiny room lables when there was this one room that was really giving me grief. It'd tell me there was a lable already assigned to it. I'd float over it and sure enough, it was there. I'd delete it, re-do it, re-name it and STILL it wouldn't show! It was there, but invisable!
It took a long time for me to realize that I'd placed a ceiling in the room - just like the others - except this ceiling was lying on the floor! Of course I'm not going to see a room lable on the ground if there's a ceiling lying on top of it! I put the ceiling on the correct level and BINGO! Room lable visable.
    I'm such a pleasant idiot...

What I'm trying to tell you is, spaces do not recognize design options rooms, linked or not. If the Architect is using design options than forget using space tags. You'll have to do what I said in my previous post or create "Dummy" room names.
