    Lenovo graphic Issue

    Hi all,

I have searched many forums looking for solutions but haven't had any luck.

I recently bought a Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro for school. I am a construction management major and focusing on the use of BIM. Primarily Revit. However, I am having a graphics issue when I load a new project in Revit. The icons in the upper ribbon are only partly visible and when I select them, they do not respond. Also, the properties menu does not display it's usual text and there are to boxes at the bottom that constantly flicker.

I have talked to the IT here at the college and he hasn't been able to come up with any solutions. I believe it may be an issue with my high resolution.

Following are some things I have tried to fix the issue (which didn't work):
    - Change resolution of the screen.
    - Enable and disable hardware acceleration.
    - Project display onto a separate monitor with a lower resolution.
    - Complete clean uninstall and re-install of software and registries.

I have attached some pictures showing the graphics issue along with my PC's specs.

Any ideas or solutions are greatly appreciated.

Have you updated the graphics driver?

Have you installed the update release 2 for Revit 2014?

Hi mjames - welcome to RFO!

Also, what DPI settings do you have Windows set to? Anything over 150% can be kind of unpredictable.

    Thanks or the suggestions!

I just got home and took a shot at projecting my screen to a 1920 x 1080 monitor. I have tried this numerous times on other monitor but for some reason it worked on this one and all of a sudden all icons and menus are visible and working on my laptop monitor.

All drivers and releases are up to date.

iru, I did mess around with changing the DPI settings. Anything under 150% is almost unreadable as my resolution is 3200 x 1800. But either way, after a month of this, it is working! Thank you!

Another problem has come up though...
Revit is now running very slowly and is using 96% of my CPU while I try to place a wall. I do not have any programs running in the background.

Also, Navisworks and ArchiCAD both work just fine on my PC.

Again, thank you for the replies and suggestions!

Yeah, I know the resolution is an issue, but unfortunately Revit behaves very badly with DPI set to high scaling factors. If you have it above 150%, try setting it to 150% or even lower (even if only temporarily, at least you'll know the correlation). Until Autodesk fixes the resolution issue, there's not much that can be done about it. Also, you might need to keep HWA off as the support of the Intel graphics is spotty. Best of luck!
