    Lost transparency, png-images

Why did trees, inserted as images in elevations, suddenly loos their transparency? If I insert the same image again (png), the background is transparent as expected.

I know that the trees in my garden will loos their transparency in a month or two, but that's not Revit :-)

Just a first thought would be - is the .png image set to foreground or background in the options bar?

You probably know this, but just in case, if not in the foreground the image and transparency will not display in front of model objects in a View.

The .png is set to foreground.
