    Sloped Glazing.. upside down?

    Has anyone noticed that sloped glazing created using Roof by Face is upside down? See attached images, you can see that I've created a mullion profile that points towards the interior side of the profile definition.

    I assign that to a Roof Type for Roof by Face and you can see that the point on the mullion is towards the exterior of the roof.

    However, if I change the type of that roof to a basic roof type with a layered assembly, the assumed exterior side of the roof assembly is indeed on the exterior side of the roof.

    If I create a Curtain Wall by face from the same face, the mullions point in the correct direction.

    To make things even more interesting. If I use the bottom face of a mass instead of the top plane of a mass, the roof forms with the proper orientation as sloped glazing AND basic roof assembly types.

    Here is a project showing the issues I'm talking about. Also looking for suggestions on any recommendations on cleaning up the mullion joins.

    Well, I did some testing.
    I'm curious: are these straight on extrusions? The masses I mean?
    Cause it's not just the roof, it's all faces. Tested it with some vertical faces too, same problem.
    I'm thinking, would it actually matter how you drew the base lines from which you created the extrusions? I know Revit "remembers" that and defines orientation of a sweep along a path based on the direction in which you drew the sweep (or line you are picking). Would that also apply to masses?

    Ho boy... this test did not help this question at all.

    So yes, it is dependent on how the base sketch for the extrusion is created.

    In this image, both masses are exactly the same. The one on the right was created drawing the sketch lines in a Clockwise manner to north. The left mass counter-clockwise. I did not tilt these masses like I did the original test. Both masses were used to create the same type of sloped glazing. You can see the difference in the orientations of the grids.

    So I made it worse or not?
    Am I reading / seeing this correctly that you need to think really hard how you place your sketch lines? Cause looking at this pics, you need to place 2 lines clockwise, and 2 counter-clockwise to create a continuous border mullion.

    And the orientation shifting is just plain weird...

    Well, it should remain a challenge off course...
    I'll have to download the betas first to be able to check. Thought they were still in Alpha btw?
