    Overriding Text to be Transparent

I'm only now getting into RAC 2013 after working in RAC 2012 for awhile, but for some reason or another, the first thing that I noticed was that you are no longer able to override text to be transparent for a particular view (override graphics \ by element).

Just wanted to confirm that this is correct and I don't have something funky w/ my Revit. It's not a big issue, but I remember having some cases where transparent text was necessary, but instead of having 2 types of text types for every size (e.g. 1/8" transparent, 1/8" opaque, etc.), I could just have one style that is set to opaque in the type properties, and when necessary, make it transparent by overriding by element.

    Thanks!

I've always created 2 different styles for that, even in 2012. I never knew you could override it!

But no, you can't do it in 2013 that I know of.

Create two different types per text style in the template or you'll end up with some doofus turning the same style back and forth without realizing he's changing ALL the text in the project. Either that, or you'll get guys creating their own styles and naming it whatever they want, then those styles get transferred from project to project and you end up with 5 different text styles with the same visibility configuration.

    Text 3/32 - Transparent
    Text 3/32 - Transperent
    Text 3/32 trans
    Text 3/32 not opaque
    Transparent Text 3/32
Text 3/32 Arial Transparent .8 width factor with cheese
